Description
Late Bloomer Ranch has housing available for the winter season - must be employed part-time at the ranch to qualify. This individual must have the ability to complete 2-6 hours of work weekly on an as-needed basis. This work can be tailored to suit other work schedules and personal preferences.
No pets. No smoking. Single occupancy only.
Duties
Tasks may include: snow removal, egg washing, animal care such as feeding, watering, or mucking shelters, and propagation and care of plants in a field and greenhouse setting.
Qualifications
- High level of physical fitness and comfortable regularly squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, carrying heavy objects (up to 75 lbs), and occasionally jogging
- Ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions (including subzero temperatures and hot summer days). We work in ALL conditions in what is occasionally an extreme climate. Wind, snow, rain or shine, we’re looking for a team member who can remain dedicated in less than ideal conditions.
- Must be a clean, tidy tenant with the ability to independently care for their unit without constant monitoring
- Must be comfortable with the occasional pitfalls of living on a working ranch (occasional loud machinery, working dogs, loose animals, etc.)
- Must be a pleasant, upbeat member of the team and a responsible contributor to independent tasks when applicable.
- A good communicator with the ability to effectively and efficiently notify admin of questions or concerns.
