Mornings set the tone for the rest of the day. Start with a nutrient-dense, protein-packed breakfast, and you’ll feel energized, satiated, and ready to take on whatever comes your way. Skip breakfast—or grab something sugary and processed—and it’s a rollercoaster of energy crashes and cravings.
That’s why I swear by this Winter Harvest Protein Frittata. It’s not just delicious and easy to make—it’s fuel for a strong body, sharp mind, and balanced metabolism.
And the best part? It’s made with regeneratively raised eggs and pork, so every bite supports your health, animal welfare, and the environment.
Protein is the key to satiety, steady energy, and muscle maintenance. When you start your day with at least 25-30 grams of high-quality protein, you help:
✔ Regulate blood sugar – No more mid-morning crashes or carb cravings.
✔ Build & preserve lean muscle – Essential for strength, metabolism, and longevity.
✔ Support brain function – Protein-rich foods provide amino acids that fuel neurotransmitters.
✔ Boost metabolism – Digesting protein requires more energy than carbs or fat, giving your body a natural metabolic boost.
This frittata delivers all of that and more, thanks to its powerhouse ingredients.
Eggs have long been called "nature's multivitamin," but not all eggs are created equal. Rotationally-grazed, regeneratively farmed eggs have been shown to contain:
✔ More Omega-3s – Essential for brain health and reducing inflammation.
✔ Higher Vitamin D Levels – Crucial for bone health, immune function, and mood regulation.
✔ More Choline – Supports liver function, metabolism, and cognitive health.
✔ Rich Yolks = More Antioxidants – The deep golden hue signals higher levels of lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect your eyes from damage.
When hens are raised on pasture, pecking at grasses, insects, and a biologically-appropriate diet, they produce eggs that are far superior in nutrition and taste to conventional, factory-farmed alternatives.
The ham steak in this frittata isn’t just any ham—it comes from rotationally-grazed, regeneratively farmed pigs. This makes a huge difference, both for your health and the environment.
Pasture-raised pork contains more saturated fats and Omega-3s compared to conventionally raised pigs, which are often fed inflammatory corn and soy-based diets.
Healthy fats support healthy metabolisms!
Pork is also a top source of B1 (thiamine), B6, B12, selenium, and zinc, all essential for energy, immune function, and cellular repair.
When pigs eat a clean, biologically-appropriate diet, their meat is cleaner, more flavorful, and free from toxins found in factory-farmed alternatives.
And let’s not forget: Regenerative farms rebuild soil health, support healthy carbon and water cycles, and allow animals to live as nature intended. Choosing this kind of pork means supporting farmers who prioritize land stewardship, clean food, fair treatment of farmworkers, and animal welfare.
